Item availability
- each item's page shows whether it is available in stock (with the quantity) or on backorder; availability is updated automatically, also based on our suppliers' stock for backorder items, and remains indicative until the order is confirmed
- backorder items are sourced from our suppliers after the order and delivered within 5–10 working days; for these items the minimum order is €10 and the shipping costs shown on the Delivery page apply
- if, rarely, an item you ordered turns out to be unavailable because of simultaneous orders, technical update errors or the supplier running out, Microchip S.r.l.s. informs you without delay by email or phone and you can choose between: waiting for new availability, with the expected date; an equivalent product, only if you accept it; cancelling the order, in full or in part. If cancelled, the amounts paid for the unavailable items are refunded in full, without delay and in any case within 14 days, using the same payment method and at no cost to you
- Microchip S.r.l.s. reserves the right to accept orders; if an order is not accepted, any amount already paid is refunded in full
Prices and orders
- all prices include Italian VAT, unless otherwise stated, including for deliveries to other European Union countries
- the contract between Microchip S.r.l.s. and the customer is concluded when Microchip S.r.l.s. confirms the order
- with bank transfer payment, items are reserved from the moment the payment is credited; orders are canceled if payment is not received within 3 working days
Invoicing
- invoices must be requested when placing the order, entering all tax details (VAT number or codice fiscale (Italian tax code), recipient code or PEC (certified email) address)
- businesses in other European Union countries: if you have a valid EU VAT number (registered in the VIES system) and would like an invoice without VAT under the reverse charge regime (Article 41 of Decree-Law 331/1993), write to us at info@microchipsrl.it before placing your order: we will prepare the order with invoice and payment ourselves
- if no invoice is requested, sales to private individuals are recorded as an electronic receipt (corrispettivo telematico) and transmitted to the Agenzia delle Entrate (Italian Revenue Agency) as required by law; in this case an invoice cannot be issued at a later date
- the document that can be downloaded from the customer area is an order summary and has no value for tax purposes
Warranty
For products sold to consumers, Microchip S.r.l.s. is liable for any lack of conformity that becomes apparent within 24 months of delivery (legal guarantee, Articles 128 et seq. of the Italian Consumer Code, Legislative Decree 206/2005). The consumer must report the defect within 2 months of discovering it and may choose between repair and replacement, unless the chosen remedy is impossible or disproportionately costly; in the cases provided for by law, the consumer is entitled to a price reduction or to termination of the contract. For purchases by businesses and professionals, the provisions of the Italian Civil Code on sales apply (Articles 1490 et seq.).
For consumers residing in another European Union country, the more favorable protections provided by the mandatory rules of their country of residence remain unaffected (Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 593/2008 (Rome I)).
The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship and does not cover failures caused by improper use, wiring or power supply errors, wear, impacts or tampering (incorrectly soldered components, modifications, non-original parts, removed labels or seals). To request support, write to info@microchipsrl.it stating your order number and a description of the problem; keep the order summary or invoice as proof of purchase.
The product specifications given on the product pages and in the datasheets are based on the manufacturers' official data, which may be changed without notice. Photos are taken by us or supplied by the manufacturer and checked against the actual product, but the product you receive may differ in appearance (color, markings, packaging, production batch) while retaining the functions and technical specifications declared by the manufacturer.
Most items are intended for hobby, educational and prototyping (open source) use and need to be configured, programmed or adapted to your own needs: we encourage you to research them before buying. Microchip S.r.l.s. is not required to provide training or project development support.
Right of withdrawal and returns
- consumers may withdraw within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving any reason; in the event of withdrawal, the return costs €6.50 with our prepaid label (from Italy, deducted from the refund) or is at the customer's expense with the courier of their choice; we refund the amount paid, including standard delivery costs
- products that are defective, damaged or do not match the order and are reported within 14 days of delivery are returned free of charge, from Italy and from the other European Union countries we serve

Shipping
- items available in stock are shipped within 1-2 working days of payment, backorder items within 5–10 working days; an order containing both is shipped all together
- in Italy, shipping costs €6.50 and is free from €29.90 (from €80 if the order contains backorder products); to the other European Union countries we serve, we ship with UPS at a flat rate of €15 including VAT
