The Visaton K 50 WP - 8 Ohm is a 5 cm (2 in) miniature speaker with a plastic basket and plastic diaphragm, designed for outdoor use and unfavourable ambient conditions such as high humidity. It offers a wide frequency response, from 180 to 17,000 Hz, and good voice reproduction.

Typical applications

The K 50 WP serves as a signalling and monitoring speaker in electronic devices and outdoor systems: intercoms and video door phones, kiosks, vending machines, alarm systems, weather stations and equipment installed outdoors. With Arduino, ESP32 and similar boards it provides audible alerts and voice messages in weather-exposed enclosures.

Mounting and connection tips

• Cut a 46 mm hole and fit the speaker in a sealed enclosure, which is required for IP65 front-side protection and also improves bass.
• Do not connect it directly to Arduino or ESP32 pins. Use an amplifier module such as a PAM8403, MAX98357 or LM386 suitable for 8 Ω loads.
• Keep the power within the 2 W rating, reducing gain or volume if the module can deliver more.
• Observe the polarity marked on the push-on terminals and protect the connections from moisture.
