The MKR ZERO is a genuine Arduino development board built around the ATSAMD21G18A microcontroller from the SAM D21 series, with a 32-bit Cortex M0+ core. It suits anyone prototyping compact devices or wanting to work with an ARM microcontroller in a small form factor. It measures 67.64 x 25 mm, and the microcontroller I/O lines are broken out to pin headers for connecting sensors, actuators and modules.
Memory is 256 kB of Flash for the program and 32 kB of SRAM. For communication there are GPIO, PWM, UART, I2C and SPI, plus I2S for exchanging digital audio with external codecs or DACs.
